Starting the Roadshow from Bali
Bali, 1 November 2018 – The organizer of the Indonesia International Furniture Expo (IFEX) 2019 conducted a series of roadshow to inform stakeholders of the upcoming IFEX 2019. IFEX 2019 is scheduled to take place on March 11 – 14, 2019 at Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo), Kemayoran, Jakarta. Dubbed as the biggest business-to-business (B2B) furniture and craft exhibition in Indonesia and in the region, IFEX 2019 is hosted by the Indonesia Furniture Industry and Craft Association (HIMKI) in collaboration with the leading organizer in the country, Dyandra Promosindo.
IFEX is the venue for local manufacturers to exhibit their best products to international buyers. Indonesian furniture is long known for its unique characteristics, quality craftsmanship, rich cultural diversity, combinations of environmentally-friendly materials, and unique designs that meet international standards. Indonesian furniture products are known for its distinct and luxurious values particularly for the European, American, Asian and African markets where the upper-class society choose rattan-based and wood-based furniture for their households.
As part of Asian furniture exhibition circuit, IFEX has become the magnet for international buyers who are looking for the country’s unique and beautiful furniture and crafts products. HIMKI keeps on encouraging its members to provide exhibition supporting materials in English to ease buyers.
For the record, IFEX 2018 attracted 11,429 buyers and visitors from 114 countries. Last year’s IFEX was supported by more than 500 local and international participants and recorded on-the-spot transaction of US$350 million and follow-up transaction of US$790 million with a total transaction of US$1.14 billion.
Carrying the theme of “Redefine, Inspire, Innovation”, IFEX 2019 is encouraging furniture and crafts manufacturers to produce innovative products and improve Indonesian furniture and crafts exports to global markets. In addition, the government is targeting the value of furniture industry export to reach US$2 billion. Therefore, IFEX serves as the best medium to introduce the country’s best furniture and crafts products to international audience.
